  In April, I was ready to purchase ballet shoes, dance clothing as well as tap shoes and mentioned this to the woman working. I was expecting to spend at least a couple hundred dollars in the store but changed my mind quickly after blatantly being asked; "Can you still afford the rest?" After successfully sizing and finding $45 ballet shoes as a grown adult. I took this as a racially-ignorant and/or just plain offensive comment and decided spent over $300 at The Dance Shop on Broadway, on tap shoes and clothing where I was treated very respectfully and was not profiled on how much I could 'afford'. Very unprofessional and will never recommend/return to the store.
