I heard from friends that this company was trustworthy to do work on expensive laptops so I tried them out. The technical service itself worked - they fixed water-damaged parts on the motherboard and in the 'power splitter elements'. The laptop has been working for 3 months now since the repair. I liked that they emailed the quote to me very quickly after I dropped off the laptop and the turnaround time for repairs was within the time estimated (8 business days). However, I am VERY unimpressed with the customer service provided. They emailed a quote and the problems found: "motherboard damaged by liquid. power splitter elements are affected." I wanted more information so I emailed back asking which specific parts would be replaced, what are the details and specifications of any new parts, where are they ordered from. and how is the laptop tested after repair to see if it's functional. I received absolutely NO word back from them. I called to ask over the phone and was told by the agent that he could not answer these questions because he doesn't do any of the technical repairs. He sounded supremely uninterested in answering my questions and was annoyed that I was asking them in the first place. I desperately needed my laptop so I commissioned the repair anyway. When I went to pick it up I asked what had actually been done to the laptop. This is a reasonable question! The agent was perplexed that I was even asking that and quickly became annoyed with me. He said he didn't know so I asked to speak to the people who did the repairs. He said that the person they have doing the repairs will not talk to customers because "That's not his job". I kept insisting and he kept not answering the question, so eventually I just left. But now, if I have another issue with the laptop, I won't know what has already been repaired or replaced. It would be like a mechanic not telling you what he fixed in your car. The repair has held up for 3 months, so that's good, but I would really hesitate to go back here based on their unwillingness to explain what they're actually doing to people's computers and that they disregard customers' requests. The price is not low enough for that (my repair was $280 total).
